Secondary (Single Subject) Teaching Credentials authorizes the holder to teach the specific subject(s) named on the credential in departmentalized classes (i.e., middle schools and high schools).
Download CTC leaflet CL-560c for more information.
Multiple and Single Subject teachers first receive a five-year Preliminary Credential. To earn a Clear Credential, teachers participate in the North Coast School of Educationís North Coast Teacher Induction Program (NCTIP).
Each teaching credential has a unique set of standards that must be met in order to obtain the California Clear Credential. Upon completion of NCTIPís Teacher Induction Program and any additional credential requirements, Multiple/Single Subject teachers are eligible to apply for their Clear Credential.
