SPED 259 Programming Strategies for Students with Autism
Candidates will be given a research-based approach to teaching students with Autism, as well as, known effective strategies, currently approved and used by teachers in the field. They may include Discrete Trial Training, Pivotal Response Training, visual systems, social stories, sensory activities, schedules, assessment, and data collection. Candidates will develop lesson plans and material using these strategies and practice putting them to use in class.
