Doug Day Memorial Scholarship

For 34 years, Doug Day was a dedicated teacher inspiring a countless number of children. Doug always said there was never a day that he didn't look forward to going into the classroom. With this scholarship, the Day family hopes to extend Doug's legacy by supporting teaching candidates dedicated to instilling a love of learning with creativity and imagination.

This $1000 scholarship will help with tuition costs associated with the “Be A Teacher” Intern Program at the Sonoma County Office of Education’s North Coast School of Education. Priority will be given to those earning a multiple subject teaching credential at Mark West Union School District, where Doug taught for many years.

The application deadline is September 30, 2024.
