CURR 232 Preparation to Teach Reading/Language Arts
This course focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of teaching reading to all students, including those whose primary language is other than English, and those with a disability. A variety of strategies, instructional approaches, and assessment procedures will be emphasized in order to ensure the candidate’s ability to develop, deliver, integrate, and regularly assess language competencies, with emphasis on effective reading and language arts instruction to meet the educational needs of culturally diverse students. This course is available to participants who have met Be A Teacher Pre-Service and Intern Program prerequisites. (PBS).
