CURR 246 (SS) Transforming Education Through the Maker Movement
Candidates study the Maker Movement, a technological and creative learning revolution underway across the nation. Candidates will learn about Maker-Space elements, new tools, and technology, such as 3D printing, robotics, microprocessors, wearable computing, e-textiles, and “smart” materials for use in a 21st Century classroom or maker space. Candidates learn how creative learning overlaps with the natural inclinations of students and the power of learning by doing. Candidates design a lesson integrating a Maker teaching practices to engage learners.
