Technology Uses in Education - Education Specialist

This is an online course designed to help Induction candidates fulfill their Level II credential requirement. This is specific to those who hold an Education Specialist Level I Credential. It includes eight online modules addressing the following topics:

  • Role of technology in education
  • Designing effective activities with technology
  • Education and the Internet
  • Monitoring student progress with technology
  • Information literacy
  • Supporting all learners with technology

A mandatory orientation meeting, Wednesday, January 31st, will cover course requirements and provide an introduction to the online environment. Online content will be delivered weekly from February 1 through March 31. Students must have access to a Windows or Macintosh computer that is capable of Internet communication.


Important registration information
Registration for this class is a two-step process.

Step 1: Complete registration and attend the mandatory orientation meeting. This class is free for North Coast Teacher Induction Program participants (use discount code provided to you) and $100 for all others.

Step 2: Register for units. Information for this registration process will be provided during orientation. An additional fee will apply for the two units. If you have any questions, contact the NCTIP office at (707) 524-2818.
