Technology Uses in Education

This is an online course designed to help Induction candidates fulfill their Level II credential requirement. It includes eight online modules addressing the following topics:

  • Role of technology in education
  • Designing effective activities with technology
  • Education and the Internet
  • Monitoring student progress with technology
  • Information literacy
  • Supporting all learners with technology

A mandatory orientation meeting will cover course requirements and provide an introduction to the online environment. Online content will be delivered weekly from February 1 through March 31. Students must have access to a Windows or Macintosh computer that is capable of Internet communication.


Important registration information
Registration for this class is a two-step process.

Step 1: Register for this mandatory orientation meeting by registering for the online orientation class as it pertains to your credenial. This class is free for North Coast Teacher Induction Program participants and $100 for all others.

Step 2: The second step is to register for units. Information for this registration process will be provided during orientation. An additional fee will apply for the two units. If you have any questions, contact the NCTIP office at (707) 524-2818.


Two orientation options are available based on your credential. Choose one to register:
